Health Information Professionals’ week is approaching, and we would like to take a moment to recognize the invaluable contributions of these HIM professionals. You can find them working at healthcare provider organizations ranging from large hospitals to small private practices. They are skilled, analytical individuals with a knack for coming up with creative solutions. Amy Karpowicz, Senior Vice President of Local Operations, is a powerhouse who understands the value of hard work. During her 20-year tenure at Oxford, she has qualified for President’s Club 16 times and won multiple top awards including Recruiter of the Year, Branch Manager of the Year, Regional Manager of the Year, and finally VP of the Year. Amy has also developed multiple top producers within Oxford, which she says is one of her best accomplishments. 

Several members of the Oxford team attended HIMSS19 this year in Orlando, Florida, along with 45,000 other healthcare IT professionals. There were over 300 education sessions, 1,300 vendors, and several opportunities to make connections throughout the duration of the conference. There were a few topics in particular that held interest for us as they highlight the current trends we’re seeing with our healthcare clients.
